Therefore, brides to be plan every single detail to perfection and constantly seek advice, tips and tricks that will help them organize the big day. This list will help with your wedding day beauty
Wedding hair and makeup is done well when you just look like the best version of yourself. Don’t let mom or your best friend give input unless you are seeking it. There are no rules, so don’t feel like you have to conform to expectations of what a bride should look like. Not every look on Pinterest is the right look for you.
Use Pinterest as a guide book. We love when brides come in prepared with ideas in mind and Pinterest is a great place to gather inspiration. Keep in mind you don’t have to look just like that picture; choose a few different but similar photos and we will customize a look just for you
Establish a skin care regimen in the 4-6 months prior to the big day. This is NOT the time to develop an allergy. Do not book a facial with unfamiliar products the day before. Instead, work with a dermatologist or esthetician 4-6 months before. That way, your skin will have time to adapt to the new skin regimen that you’ll be prescribed and will look fabulous in time for your wedding. Your refined and radiant skin will thank you afterwards.
Great wedding hair starts with great hair. Start talking with your stylist about the right products for your hair immediately. A great hair care regimen will insure you have healthy shiny hair on your wedding day. Schedule any color changes 1-2 months so you can perfect the right look. Have your final hair color and haircut appointment 1-2 weeks before the big day so your look is still fresh. Don’t forget your eyebrows or any other hair removal services these should be done 1 week before as well.
You may need to boost your natural assets with hair extensions. Brides a little lacking in natural volume or length can experience a total hair transformation, which is really exciting. We have many options whether you want to use a temporary option or a more long term fix. For more long term options, have them applied 2 weeks before the wedding so you have a chance to get used to your new look.
Make sure your make up understands the concept of to have and to hold with long lasting, water resistant, airbrush make up. Remember hiring a professional can not only take the pressure off, but can also guarantee you will look flawless in your wedding pictures and your makeup will last throughout the ceremony, through all the crying, hugging, kissing, eating and dancing. No matter how good the makeup artist, nothing can weld lipstick on to the busy lips of a kissing, talking, eating, drinking…drinking….drinking bride. The first coat will be immaculate but discuss with your makeup artist the best product to have with you during the day for touch-ups. You should have the product on hand to touch up your lips throughout the day. Your wedding bag should also include a pressed powder and some oil blotting tissues to help you control the excess shine and always look picture perfect.
You should book your wedding day hair and makeup artists 6 months before the wedding date and be sure to have a trial so everyone is on the same page. Bring ideas and any hair adornments or your veil with you when you come in for a trial and make sure you take lots of pictures!
Never underestimate the power of water. It hydrates your skin and flushes out impurities; offense is the best defense, so get guzzling. It will also keep headaches at bay and make you feel more energized, helping you to focus on the task in hand.
A glowing tan is beautiful, but subtle is always best. Aim for your natural summer color not as dark as you can be. The same rules apply; do NOT try a new product in the days before the wedding. Book an appointment with an airbrush tanning expert 2 days before the wedding. Exfoliate (scrub) and moisturize the skin on your body and face for three days to prep your skin, then on the day of apply a light lotion to parched areas such as elbows, knees, and heels. Like your hair and make-up, book a trial for this service well before the wedding so you know what to expect.
